Some of the participating Dutchess County restaurants include Aroma Osteria, Babycakes Café, Joseph’s Steakhouse, Le Express, Sapore Steakhouse, Shadows on the Hudson,  Stissing House, Swift and Terrapin Restaurant. Also on the list is the one year old Bocuse Restaurant and its sisters, the America Bounty Restaurant and Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici, all at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. And if you haven’t been to the Mill House Brewing Company yet, maybe now is the time to check out Poughkeepsie’s newest brewpub! Many restaurants feature locally sourced ingredients from places such as Millbrook Vineyards, Sprout Creek Farm, and Irving Farm Coffee Roasters.

At the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week kickoff event, restaurateur Peter X. Kelley was recognized as one of the region’s leaders in the farm-to-table movement, which encourages area chefs to cook with local produce and food products. The owner of establishments in Garrison, Yonkers, and beyond, was honored with the third annual "Farm To Table," award for working closely with local farms and producers when making his menus. He is a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls.

Dine and win post or tweet to win #HVRW and @ValleyTable starting March 10th.  HVRW is presented by The Valley Table, the leading publication in the Hudson Valley, exclusively devoted to regional farms, under the direction of Janet Crawshaw, the magazine’s publisher and founder.

“With the region’s rich agricultural heritage, the Hudson Valley has become an epicenter of the farm-to-table concept,” Janet Crawshaw said.
