The Beacon Sloop Club holds & participates in several festivals and events each year to raise funds for the clubs activities and spread the jpy of sailing. Enjoy food, fun and music down by the lovely Hudson Riverside. Environmental booths and vendors bring awareness to many environmental and social issues.

The 2014 Country Living Magazine Fair in Rhinebeck
The Dutchess County Fairgrounds will be the place to be on Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8 as the pages of Country Living Magazine come to life. There will be diverse shopping opportunities, antique appraisals, and plenty of interesting seminars and demonstrations on food, gardening, fashion, antiques and home décor. You’ll have the chance to meet the editors of the popular magazine. It’s the perfect opportunity to see how to create the beauty of the Hudson Valley within your own home!
Music In The Parks - Free Lawn Concerts
Between June and August, come enjoy Music In The Parks, at the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site and Staatsburgh State Historic Site.
These concerts are free and held on the lawns of each site every Wednesday evening.
Summer nights are the perfect opportunity to grab a blanket, make a picnic, and enjoy a concert in the park. Many of the towns and villages in Dutchess County offer free concerts in their local parks. These concerts are great for children and pets. Find one near you!
Town of Hyde Park - Hyde Park’s Music in the Parks are Wednesday nights at 7pm. The shows alternate between Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site and Staatsburgh State Historic Site.

Hudson Valley Garden Association presents their annual fundraising event, Hudson Valley Garden Fair, on Saturday, May 3, from 10am-4pm at Montgomery Place in Red Hook.
Featuring over 30 local and specialty garden vendors and organizations, lecture program, educational demonstrations and guided tours, Hudson Valley Garden Fair is a one day celebration of gardening in the Hudson Valley, aiming to inspire and excite gardeners of all experience levels, from beginner to expert.
Hudson Valley Bike Rides- Bike New York presents the annual Discover Hudson Valley Ride on Sunday, June 29th, beginning in Poughkeepsie. Participants can choose to ride through different routes of 15, 33, 50, 75, or 100 miles.
On the day of the ride, Metro-North Railroad will suspend its bike permit requirements and will allow up to 75 bikes per train! Room for bikes is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The third season for these fascinating historic graveyard tours is open! Tours are given on Saturdays through November 2. Parishioners and professional narrators conduct tour of St. James' churchyard collaboratively, with special emphasis on interred persons of note. All new historical characters are on hand for 2013! Featured characters this year include a suffragette, a professional baseball player, a lieutenant who died at the Battle of Gettysburg, and Franklin Roosevelt' father.
Fresh from the farm pumpkins, pumpkin pie and other fall treats are in the spotlight! Who doesn't love pumpkin-flavored, well, everything? The Beacon Sloop Club's Annual Pumpkin Festival takes place at Riverfront Park in Beacon, rain or shine, on Sunday, Oct 16th from 12pm to 5pm. Hudson Valley pumpkins of all sizes and shapes, freshly baked pumpkin pie, cider, and other delicious food will be available to purchase. Save room for meat or vegetarian chili. Get some pumpkins to carve and decorate your home, too.
