Hudson Valley Arts Festival in Rhinebeck, NY

Nationally acclaimed Artrider Productions Inc. is launching of the Hudson Valley Arts Festival at Rhinebeck, partnering with area organizations to present a show like no other in the region.

The new Festival, slated for the fall weekend of October 4 - 6, features work by 200 talented artists and craftspeople. The crafts and artwork is shown alongside an amazing line-up of formidable musicians, including Myles Mancuso, CKS, The New Lazy Boys, The Lindsey Webster Band, The Jay Collins Band, Mambo KiKongo and others yet to be announced! Attendees also get to see live art projects taking shape right before their eyes! Of course, there are plenty of children's art activities planned. And save room to sample tastes from specialty food producers, gourmet food purveyors, and area wineries, all celebrating the Hudson Valley's bounty!

Feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to begin? Sign up for the docent-guided tour by Artrider director Stacey Jarit; Authors will be on hand to read from and sign their books. Do you love to see craft and art demonstrations? Then you're in luck! Maybe you'll pick up a secret or two when you watch the pros at work! Feeling creative? Then you'll be on the lookout for the interactive musical experiences taking place!

"We have a nation-wide following of artists who want to show and sell their work in areas where it can be appreciated and there's no more perfect place than Rhinebeck," explains Jarit. She added that Artrider' a 30-year veteran in producing high-end craft and art shows across America is producing the Festival in collaboration with Chronogram, Hudson Valley Tourism, Dutchess County Arts Council, Woodstock Film Festival, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, Valley Table and FiberFlame, with the intention of making this festival the center of an annual arts weekend to the delight of both residents and tourists.

This show promises to echo what National Geographic recently declared; the Hudson Valley is one of its international "Top 20 Must-See Places of 2013."

And of course, is it ever too early to start your holiday gift shopping? No, it isn't! Show hours are Friday and Saturday October 4 & 5, from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, October 6 from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $10, seniors are $9, kids 6-16 are $4, and those under 6 are free. The Dutchess County Fairgrounds are located at 6550 Spring Brook Avenue in Rhinebeck just off Route 9.
