2014 Dutchess Fair General Info - The experience of a lifetime awaits you at the 169th Dutchess County Fair in quaint Rhinebeck, NY.  Just two hours north of NYC, it's the largest six-day county fair in NY with 162 acres of family fun.  You will be immersed in agriculture with thousands of farm animals while enjoying horticultural displays in a park-like setting.  Learn about the past with a visit to an authentic one-room school house and Antique Village Museum.

Dutchess County FairCrafters selling one-of-a-kind items and plenty of free entertainment for all ages. A host of other family activities include petting zoos with domestic, exotic and rainforest animals, racing pigs and dock diving dogs. Over 50 carnival rides await children of all ages. Is there food, you asked? Bring your appetite. Over 100 vendors serve everything from deep fried Oreos to full-course meals.

The fairgrounds becomes an entertainment destination where big name talent can be enjoyed, “thrill a minute” excitement can be experienced at one of the finest carnivals in the entire country, free shows and attractions can be viewed almost constantly from the time you arrive to the time you leave. The tradition of excellence that has been the Dutchess County Fair for over 160 years offers something for everyone and creates memorable moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Dutchess County Fair General Info - Entrances & aisles are accessible for guests using wheelchairs. Most fair attractions are accessible, however, fair staff are not permitted to assist transporting persons to the ride system. They will, however, provide direction to the extent that they are able. Accommodations have been made on the grounds, in buildings, the grandstand and restrooms to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Accessible parking is available in all public lots. First Aid Station - Event Medical Services personnel are on duty during events throughout the year and during extended hours at Fair time. Minor injuries and ailments are treated at the First Aid Station located near the main restrooms just south of the Main Entrance #1. In the event of serious illness or injury, contact an usher for assistance.

Dutchess County Fairgrounds group rates apply to orders of 25 or more prepaid tickets in total. Two complimentary tickets are provided for ABA or NTA members ONLY.

The lost and found is located at the Show Office in the Administration Bldg on the fairgrounds during all events. While you’re at the Fair, Lost & Found is in the State Police building located near First Aid Station and main restrooms.

Lost Children Station is located by the Main Entrance #1 near the First Aid Station next to Restrooms & Public Telephones.

On sale July 2014 Package price from Grand Central / Harlem-125th Street: adults, $40.50; seniors, persons with disabilities and individuals receiving Medicare, $32.50; children 5-11, $1.50; children under 5, free.

Bus Fare: Not included in package price, pay on board the bus ($5 round-trip). Purchase your package from any Metro-North ticket office or full-service ticket vending machine and through WebTicket.

Ride Tickets: 10 rides for $20. NOTE: Tickets must be purchased by August 19th at midnight to receive discount prices.

**Senior (65+) & Military Tickets : Senior & Military Tickets are not for sale online and are only available for purchase all week at the gate. Discount available to person with military ID or senior citizen only and is not a family discount.
