Local Dutchess Chambers

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to have entered into a marketing alliance with Google-certified photographers to bring the ubiquitous Google Maps “Street View” inside local businesses.  This innovative 360-degree photographic tour of any establishment provides the public the opportunity to virtually experience local businesses directly from a Google search, helping potential customers to decide where to eat, play, shop and stay when in the Hudson Valley.

The Chamber will officially introduce this program to the community at a special event scheduled for Monday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. at The Bocuse Restaurant on the campus of The Culinary Institute of America.  Interested parties will be able to meet with Google-certified program coordinators as well as see examples of a finished tour and gain familiarity with the high-tech equipment used to document inside spaces from all angles. 

Businesses that engage this powerful marketing tool will benefit with a tremendous visual enhancement in their Google Search presence, Google Maps, and on their Google+ Local page.  Viewers on any device - desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone - will easily find your business and be able to take a virtual walk inside to look around.  They can see 360-degree panoramic images from multiple points; zoom in on products, displays and signage while getting a true feel for the decor and ambiance of your space.  This “Google Virtual Tour” is also easily embedded onto your own website and Facebook page as well.
